KNOTTED CLOVER Trifolium striatum (Fabaceae) Height to 20cm. Hairy annual of dry, grassy places, often on sand or gravel. FLOWERS are pink and borne in unstalked, egg-shaped heads that are 15mm long (May-Jul). FRUITS are concealed by calyx. LEAVES are trifoliate with spoon-shaped leaflets that are hairy on both sides but lack obvious lateral veins. STATUS-Locally common, mainly in S.
