River Lapwing - Vanellus duvaucelii Length to 30cm. An elegant wading bird, closely related to Spur-winged Plover. In flight, wings show a striking black-and-white pattern. Range extends across southeast Asia. Favours shingle margins of fast-flowing rivers.
