WILD CABBAGE Brassica oleracea (Brassicaceae) Height to 1.25m
Tough perennial found on coastal chalk cliffs and near seabird colonies. FLOWERS are 25-35mm across; borne in elongated heads (Apr-Aug). FRUITS are cylindrical and 8cm long. LEAVES are grey-green; lower ones are large, fleshy and often ravaged by the larvae of the Large White butterfly.
