DWARF MALLOW Malva neglecta (Malvaceae) Height to 1.5m. Upright or spreading perennial of disturbed and waste ground. FLOWERS are 1-2cm across with purple-veined and notched pale lilac petals; borne in clusters along stems (Jun-Sep). FRUITS are round, flat capsules. LEAVES are rounded with shallow lobes. STATUS-Widespread and locally common in S but scarce elsewhere.
