Dense-flowered Orchid (Neotinea maculata) Height to 30cm. A stout little orchid with rather narrow leaves and a cylindrical head of flowers 2-6cm long (Apr-May). The individual flowers are pinkish white with a hood and a lower lip divided into 3 lobes. It grows on the Burren, in W Ireland, and also, very locally, on the Isle of Man.
