Eastern Yellow Bee Orchid Ophrys sicula (Height to 25cm) Distinctive orchid with oval basal leaves and narrow leaves sheathing stem. Flowers comprise greenish-yellow. oval sepals and yellowish upper petals. Lip is 14-18mm long, broadly oval, 3-lobed and yellow with maroon centre. In spikes, March-May. Garrigue and stony ground, eastern Mediterranean only.
