WALL COTONEASTER Cotoneaster horizontalis (Rosaceae) Height to 50cm. Stiff shrub with branches that divide and spread in a flat plane. Deciduous but leaves appear early. FLOWERS are pink and solitary (May-Jul). FRUITS are bright red, spherical berries. LEAVES are 5-10mm long, glossy above and hairless below. STATUS-Widely grown in gardens and occasionally naturalised, mainly on calcareous soils.
