Height to 15cm. Attractive, low-growing perennial. Most of its spoon-shaped leaves are found as a basal rosette and the pink flowers, 6-12mm across, are borne in dense, terminal heads (June-July). Alpine Catchfly grows in the Lake District, and is also very scarce in Scotland.
