INDIAN BALSAM Impatiens glandulifera (Balsaminaceae) Height to 2m. Distinctive annual with reddish stems. Found along riverbanks and on damp waste ground. FLOWERS are 3-4cm long and pinkish purple with a short, curved spur; borne on stalks in clusters (Jul-Oct). FRUITS are club-shaped and explosive.
