ROUND-LEAVED CRANE’S-BILL Geranium rotundifolium (Geraniaceae) Height to 40cm. Downy annual that recalls Dove’s-foot Crane’s-bill. Found in dry, grassy places, on calcareous and sandy soils. FLOWERS are 10-12mm across with pink, barely notched petals; usually borne in pairs (Jun-Jul). FRUITS are hairy and not wrinkled. LEAVES are rounded and only shallowly lobed. STATUS-Distinctly local, mainly in S England.
