INVERTEBRATE CUT-OUTS { 477 images } Created 29 Jun 2013

Cut-out images of many of British invertebrates including grasshoppers, beetles and dragonflies. We have done the hard work for you, these photographs being ready to for you to drop into any of your projects. Search for individual species by common or scientific name. Images up to A4 size at 300 dpi are downloadable to registered users with the necessary permissions. Many of the images are available as larger files if required.   • Steatoda grossa - female. Steatoda grossa with its dark, shiny, globular body is  the most Black Widow-like of our false widdow spiders and it is common in dark corners of houses and outbuildingsin southern Britain. The young female spiders have clear pale forward-pointing chevrons on the dark abdomen which fade as they get larger but are usually still just visible. The spider can deliver a nip but does not have the reputation for causing pain as has Steatoda nobilis.
